Children’s Book Day is Always a Day worth Celebrating
April 2nd is International Children’s Book Day. What was your favorite story as a kid? This day encourages you to get our and read it again through your children’s eyes.
Great activities for today include sharing your favorite books with your kids or the nanny taking them out to explore the library or a bookstore to choose a new favorite of their own.
Here are a few favorites from the NannyPay staff.
The Cat in the Hat
by Dr Seuss
No children’s book list would be complete without a Dr Seuss book and one of the first many of us remember reading.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
by Bill Martin Jr. and Archambault
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, will there be enough room? We love how this book brings letters to life for kids.
Winnie the Pooh
by A. A. Milne
Beloved characters that have stood generation to generation.
Peter Rabbit
by Beatrix Potter
Such beautiful illustrations enhance this tale of Beatrix’s original ‘friends’.
Eloise
by Kay Thompson
Adventurous Eloise is a little girl we all have fun reading.
What are some of your favorites?
